GMP Federation Holds Maternity Open Day
Greater Manchester Police officers who are pregnant, have recently had a baby, or just want to learn more, received support, advice and camaraderie at the Federation’s Maternity Open Day.
Organised by Greater Manchester Police Federation on 30 September, the event was attended by representatives from payroll, HR, the DMS team, wellbeing coordinators and the British Association for Women in Policing.
Also there to support colleagues were The Police Children’s Charity and No1 CopperPot Credit Union, on hand to offer advice and treats!
Brett Grange, Greater Manchester Police Federation’s Equality Lead, said: “I’d like to thank our partners for giving up their time to assist on the day; without them, it would not have been the success it was.
“Our colleagues got real-time support, with many saying they’d received advice on certain issues or were reassured that everything was in order. We had a great turn out, and I was happy to be on tea and coffee duties. Nearly every one of our officers got to hold a baby at some point! Everyone said the event had been really helpful.”
