Beneficiaries
If you decide to nominate a child in your beneficiary nomination form, the Trustees will only pay the settlement into a bank account or a trust fund in the child’s name. You should seek legal and/or financial advice to ensure this is set up. If this is not done, then there will inevitably be a delay in paying the settlement. As in all cases, the decision of the Trustees is final.
If you are changing your partner/spouse beneficiary details to a new partner, the requested allocation of the scheme death benefits, as per the below request, will be recognised by the scheme trustees.
Change in Relationship; If you have spouse/cohabiting partner insurance this cannot be transferred to your new partners name and your partner will have to complete an application to join the scheme. If they are accepted your ex-partners details will be replaced/removed. You should speak to the federation office for advice on 69669 or 0161 355 4400
